Every time I look at the Huron River that flows down at a short distance from the place I live, my mind reflects upon River Ganges. When I look at the beautiful White Swans that visit this place, I think of Goddess Sarasvati. I may not greet people with Indian traditional greeting of Namaskar or Namaste and yet people recognize my Indian identity because of my skin color. It doesn’t really offend me and I like it for the native Americans are also known as Indians. Christopher Columbus discovered America on October 12, 1492 for he was determined to reach India by sailing West. If India was his destination, I am destined to make my journey to this place.
